Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

100Alarms (“we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes mobile applications (the “Apps”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Apps, including our optional account and backup service. It applies to the Apps only.

Summary

Information stored on your device

By default, our Apps store the following locally on your phone or tablet, where it stays unless you delete it:

Unless you use the optional backup service described below, this information stays on your device and we do not have access to it. Uninstalling the App generally removes locally stored app data.

iCloud backup (iPhone and iPad)

On iPhone and iPad, 100Alarms can keep a copy of your data in your own private iCloud storage using Apple’s iCloud service, so you can restore it after a reinstall or when you switch phones. This is not a service we operate, and it does not require an account with us or your email address.

What is copied to your iCloud: your alarms and reminders, and your app settings.

The copy is stored in the private area of your personal iCloud account, which only your Apple Account can access. We cannot read it, and it is never sent to our servers. Apple handles this storage under Apple’s own privacy policy.

Turning it off or deleting it: sign out of iCloud on the device, or turn off iCloud access for 100Alarms in your device’s iCloud settings. Deleting the app’s iCloud data through your device settings removes the copy.

Email backup (other 100Alarms apps)

Some of our other Apps offer a backup service that we operate, which works differently from iCloud backup above. If you choose to use it:

Deleting your backup. You can delete your backup at any time from within the App or by contacting support@100Alarms.com. When you delete your backup or request deletion, we remove it from active systems; a copy may be retained for a short grace period (up to 14 days) in case you change your mind or need to recover it, after which it is permanently deleted, except where we must retain limited information to comply with law. Residual copies in encrypted backups or logs are overwritten in the ordinary course.

This service is not used by the 100Alarms iPhone and iPad app, which uses iCloud backup as described above.

Information you provide to us

If you contact us, we may receive:

We use this information only to respond to you, improve our Apps, and fix problems.

Device permissions

Depending on the App and features you use, our Apps may request:

You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without the related permission.

Diagnostics and crash reporting

To help keep our Apps reliable, the App may collect and send us limited technical diagnostic information — such as log excerpts, device type, operating system version, and app version — when it detects a problem or when you submit feedback or a bug report. This information may be sent to us directly or through a service provider, and is used only for reliability, debugging, and security. It is not used for advertising.

Information from app stores

The Apple App Store and Google Play may collect information about downloads, purchases, and device data according to their own privacy policies. We may receive aggregate or summary reports from them, which do not identify you individually.

Advertising

Our current Apps do not display third-party ads, and we do not collect advertising identifiers or track you across other apps or websites.

Some Apps may in the future be supported by advertising. If an App shows ads, this policy or that App’s supplemental notice will say so, and the following would apply to that App:

How we use information

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:

Children’s privacy

Our Apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information (for example by creating a backup or emailing us), contact us at support@100Alarms.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Data retention

Data stored on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data copied to your own iCloud storage is retained by Apple under your Apple Account until you delete it or turn off iCloud access for the App. If you use backup, your email address and backed-up alarms and reminders are retained until you delete the backup or it is no longer needed to provide the service; after deletion, a copy may be kept for a grace period of up to 14 days and then permanently deleted, except where law requires longer retention. Support emails and feedback are retained as long as needed to handle your request and maintain reasonable business records. Crash and advertising-related data, where applicable, is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. For data stored on your device, you can exercise these directly by deleting your content, clearing app data, or uninstalling the App. For your backup and any information we hold (such as support emails), contact us at support@100Alarms.com and we will respond within the time required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the right to know the categories of personal information collected, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing.” The personal information we hold is limited to your email address, any backed-up alarms and reminders, and anything you email us. We do not sell personal information. Where a specific App uses advertising as described above, we will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option for that App.

EEA / UK (GDPR). Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are your consent (for example, for the optional backup service, crash reporting, or advertising where used), performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Apps, and compliance with legal obligations. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information we hold, including backups stored on our servers, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Because access to your backup is verified by a one-time code sent to your email, keeping your email account secure is an important protection for your backed-up data.

International users

If you use our Apps from outside the United States, information we receive may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country.

App-specific disclosures

Individual Apps may collect additional information or request additional permissions depending on their features. Where that is the case, the App’s store listing and any in-app supplemental notice will describe it, and those disclosures form part of this Privacy Policy for that App.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with the Apps or through the app store listing and change the “Last updated” date. If we make a material change — for example, enabling advertising in an App — we will provide notice in-app where appropriate. Continued use of the Apps after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
